Have Osteopenia or Osteoporosis ? You CAN reverse your bone loss. Many readers of this site have done so.
Some have submitted
Testimonials (You can read some Testimonials here.) But those are only a very few of the successes. I
often get notice from those unsubscribing from the monthly
NEWSLETTER saying that they are unsubscribing because they no longer
need the information because they now have NORMAL bone density. Yes!
But let's get practical. The first thing you want to do is to work to STOP any further bone loss. If you HAVE Osteopenia you do not want to allow it to advance to Osteoporosis. AND if you have Osteoporosis already, you do not want it to get any worse.
The second thing you need to do is to begin reversing your condition but building NEW bone to replace the bone you have already lost.
What to do.
First, you need to educate yourself.
Now I know that the first thing many people think of is 'getting a good calcium supplement". And while we all know that calcium is necessary for building strong bones, just taking calcium is NOT going to do it for most people.
(This site does offer reviews of calcium supplements - showing how they stack up when subjected to scientific evidence. If you are going to spend money on a calcium supplement, I do suggest you read Calcium Information and supplement reviews.
BUT do come back to this page and read the rest of the information because there are things besides taking calcium that you need to do.
So if you Have osteopenia or osteoporosis, what should you do to rebuild your bones>
The first thing you want to do is figure out WHY youhave developed the condition. There are many different causes and the quickest way to remedy the condition is to remove or treat the causes of your bone loss. So I suggest that you read the CAUSES page on this site. Write down EVERY cause that could apply to you and then address each one.
What is helpful is that this site offers sooooo much information about ways to reverse bone loss and how to counteractany causes of your bone loss. So I suggest that you take your time. Read. Take notes.Bookmark the site so you can come back again to reread and explore more of the possible causes of your bone loss. You need to address ALL of them. When you think you know them all, read some of the remedies. The site includes information about the pharmaceutical drugs (Some are better for one form or another. And then put together your 'plan of action'.
Many people want to review their plan with their health care provider. Sometimes you need his or her advice - especially in regard to what weight bearing exercises you will do. (If your bones are fragile, you do not want to do something that might cause a fracture!)
So do click on CAUSES if you Have osteopenia or osteoporosis? and figure out which of the many causes apply to you so you can address those causes in your plan.
